Understanding Narcissism

This was my Mom's ex-boyfriend, who I've spoken about many times on this forum. He was an absolute monster, telling lies about our Dad just to compensate and cover up that he was doing the exact same things he claimed he didn't like about him. He said abusive things about my brother, which again was hypocritical, because the things he was criticizing about my brother was also stuff he was guilty of (parasitical behaviour). He made threats of violence on several occasions.

I can only think how fortunate it is that Mom finally woke up and kicked him out.

See, that just means he was really bad at it. A pro would never be found out so easily, he would plan 3-4 moves ahead.

Sounds like you've never played against me before I changed my game just the last time. Just ask people the sheer crazy I put them through. Wink

When we meet on the field of mafia, as we inevitably must one day....I will crush your scummy ass, and you will remember the day you dared to contest the turtley supremacy of my comrade.

This makes more sense.

I caused a bigger shitstorm than you did in the game we played. Some people even said I was to blame more than you were. Even though you're the clusterfuck-causing people-enraging penguin that you are. I got more negative attention and you asked to be replaced whilst I stayed and got to annoy people some more. I got more Narcissistic Supply than you did: neener neener, neener neener. The difference is: I don't have to try and I can do both super nice and lovely and caring and annoying as fuck. I am almost 8 years older than you though so I have more experience at being an emotional vampire.

1-0 to me.

She does seem to have kept it together admirably.

Celebrities aren't crazy -people-, they're normal people with crazy bank accounts and crazy lives.  Hand me that much cash...subject me to that level of scrutinty...and watch how quickly I circle the batshit drain.  I;d demand a cannon that fired boxes of kittens and provide a public demonstration of the tech in the parking lot of the local vietnamese restaurant...just because I was bored and had run out of "normal" shit to do and spend my money on.

That's the way this always goes.  We hear about them initially, they become celebrities.  Then it goes dark for awhile...and the next time we hear about them it's positively fucking tragic.   In the interim...thy ran out of shit to do but didn't run out of money or time.

"OMG, did you hear about rhythm...remember last year when he was so normal, he won the lotto...I heard he built a Kitty Kannon™ and some of the cats went through a semi window on i-64 - there was a huge pileup...now he's in prison and the legal defense took every penny he had left...so sad...I heard he even found jesus in there...so I guess that's where ole JC was hiding all this time!"

Nah, you're exagerating. You'd do the same thing I would. You'd be concerned with becoming/remaining the best at what you did that got you all rich and famous to begin with, and then you'd slowly retire with a plan in mind to take care of your public life as well as make time for a private one.

Because of the halo effect duh! I suffer chronically from this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Halo_effect

Cognitive biases = truth if I can still function and especially if I can get happy-sauce injected into my brain and by that I mean attention from people on the internet, yum-yum, yum-yum.

I love to put people on the pedestal and that all overrides logic and truth. After all define "truth". I define truth as "whatever helps me cope and have fun".

Kitticorn is perfect in multiple ways therefore she is perfect in all ways. Eat my turtle balls if you disagree.

I do love myself and my mouth used to be able to reach to pleasurable places.

I'm not joking.
