Me: Do you want me to take you to the bus stop this morning?
The child: *mumbling incoherently* no.
Me to Rob: Okay, take the car to work. I don't need it.

6:35am
The child: *opens door, sees it's dark and rainy and cold* Can you drive me up to the bus stop?
Me: No... you told me you didn't want me to so I didn't take Rob to work.
The child: Oh. *dejected, grabs school stuff, hugs me and heads out the door with her brother's umbrella.
The child: How do you open this thing?
Me: *gives exasperated look
The child: Ohhh.... *opens umbrella.

That was my morning. I'm now contemplating on whether or not to go back to bed or to stay up (in bed) playing minecraft.
