-except for that naggang bit about them labeling -themselves- as such, huh?
Should I open my mind to the possibility that they are something other than what they self identify as, Chad? That they have aims other than their own self described? That they can be both themselves, and not themselves, simultaneously?
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

I think it's perfectly reasonable to be suspicious when a known homophobe brings something as innocuous looking as this to the table. Perfectly reasonable to be wary and expect a catch. That said, I'm reading it now and so far, where I'm up to, I'm finding it quite interesting and thought provoking... and nothing yet stands out to me as objectionable. But there's a long way to go.
This quote doesn't seem particularly anti-transgender. It definitely challenges the notion that identifying as transgender is the same as having gender-dysphoria.
Quote:"There is no scientific evidence that all transgender people have gender dysphoria, or that they are all struggling with their gender identities. Some individuals who are not transgender — that is, who do not identify as a gender that does not correspond with their biological sex — might nonetheless struggle with their gender identity; for example, girls who behave in some male-typical ways might experience various forms of distress without ever coming to identify as boys. Conversely, individuals who do identify as a gender that does not correspond with their biological sex may not experience clinically significant distress related to their gender identity. Even if only, say, 40% of individuals who identify as a gender that does not correspond with their biological sex experience significant distress related to their gender identity, this would constitute a public health issue requiring clinicians and others to act to support those with gender dysphoria, and hopefully, to reduce the rate of gender dysphoria in the population. There is no evidence to suggest that the other 60% in this hypothetical — that is, the individuals who identify as a gender that does not correspond with their biological sex but who do not experience significant distress — would require clinical treatment." There's no expectation of a catch, there's not even a catch. It's the organ of an advocacy group. It's not like -they- hide that fact, lol.
Chad, is the one who took it upon himself, to obscure the nature of his own link.

Part One deserves a second more throughout reading on my part. They seemed to agonize quite a bit about the difficulty of defining subtle distinctions between sexual desire, sexual orientation, and sexual identity. That parsing continued in part Three with respect to gender identity. It seems to me that trying to define these terms is highly problematic, maybe even impossible, without making reference to some kind of essentialism.
