Why the Dems Lost

I personally, as a white man, never felt that the Democratic candidates were speaking to me.  I feel totally alienated from the Democratic party.  The fact that Trump overwhelmingly won the white male vote is evidence that white American men had grown tired of being reviled and blamed for everything bad in this country.  Neither party has come up with a message that supports the rights and privileges of ALL Americans and so we continue to be divided.

Actually according to ABC news it was not white males that Trump appealed to but White Uneducated males.

Basically I think the election of Donald Trump is a huge middle finger to Washington and politics in general by the white middle class male voters.

Oh, I'm not saying that isn't what they think. I'm just saying it's retarded that the demographic that has overwhelmingly held the majority of power suddenly feels marginalized and outraged now that a tiny bit of that power is slipping away thanks to a slow drip of diversification.

And if anyone thinks it's a coincidence that the white male suddenly felt disenfranchised after we elected the first black president, you're fooling yourself.

According to CNN exit polls, 53% of white women also voted for Trump.

Yes, white people being the majority.  I'm in that majority, so I know.
Women are used to being part of a patriarchy.  Check out all the women defending their way of life in the middle east.  The white women were voting to keep what they know, because all this change was scary.

ROFLOL

What/which 'middle class' social programs out there are you referring to?

The Starbucks EBT card? must of missed mine in the mail..

Or maybe your talking about social security which will be bankrupt by the time I get old enough to collect.

Yeah, I think I'll pass on that one too.. Pay into a retirement plan all my life then when I am old enough to use it.. It shuts down..

We are not banning muslims. We are banning all people from countries from which they can not be properly vetted. This means countries where ISIS took the capitol city and captured all the government printers and blank documents (like passports and birth certificates) and have the offical equipment to forge their own docs.

We are not kicking all the mexicans out either. We are going to deport all Mexican criminals back to their country.

An exit poll breakdown on Fox's site shows that even among white college graduates he had a lead (49/45).

I think the age and race breakdowns might be more telling; he loses every age demographic up to 30-39, then wins every age demographic after. Hillary has big leads in every race demographic except white, which Trump wins by a considerable margin. I think that when it all shakes out we'll see that Clinton got far fewer young and non-white voters excited enough to go to the polls. People are saying that the nation is "more divided than we thought" but I think it's just as divided as it ever was, but some key constituencies had no stomach to vote for Clinton and stayed home.

Theories are structures of ideas that explain and interpret facts. Facts don't go away when scientists debate rival theories to explain them. Einstein's theory of gravitation replaced Newton's in this century, but apples didn't suspend themselves in midair, pending the outcome. And humans evolved from ape- like ancestors whether they did so by Darwin's proposed mechanism or by some other yet to be discovered."

are you above the national median income for 1999? If you are at the middle of the nation average then you have lost about 25K from 1999 according to ABC news last night.

That's a relief. If we did, every half-decent Asian restaurant in Baton Rouge would shut down.

Of course not. Who else is going to work for cheap labor? Certainly not the white man.
