I've had a hunter mistake me for a deer.
Not a big deal if he misses . . . .

The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

One a terrorist attack in 1985 at the airport, the other one a domestic getting out of hand when working as a medic. Being told you're delusional does not necessarily mean you're mental.

I went through an active shooter defense course a couple years ago and that's exactly what it meant. Run if you can, hide if you can't and charge the bastard if your found. Statistically, your odds are better if you charge than if you cower. The shooter is more likely to miss a charging target than a cowering unmoving one.

I often think about what I would do had I been at my favorite theatre in Aurora CO, the night the Batman movie came out. I'd just moved to another state from Aurora when it had happened; I know for certain that had u still been living there I would've recruited by family members (cousins, uncles and aunts, etc..). What happened was unbelievable. But I've already decided that should I ever find myself in such a situation, I would fight and hinder the shooter with my body in any way I could. If I'm to die, I'm going to go ripping that assholes eyes out! And maybe if I body slam him to the ground, others would have a chance to subdue him! Well, that's just my take on what I'd do in such a situation--one I very narrowly missed.
Catholic Lady, I'm so sorry you've had to go through such heartaching worry today! I'm so glad your brother is ok!
If I were to create self aware beings knowing fully what they would do in their lifetimes, I sure wouldn't create a HELL for the majority of them to live in infinitely! That's not Love, that's sadistic. Therefore a truly loving god does not exist!
Quote:The sin is against an infinite being (God) unforgiven infinitely, therefore the punishment is infinite. Dead wrong. The actions of a finite being measured against an infinite one are infinitesimal and therefore merit infinitesimal punishment. Quote:Some people deserve hell. I say again: No exceptions. Punishment should be equal to the crime, not in excess of it. As soon as the punishment is greater than the crime, the punisher is in the wrong.
scenario is :
dude jumps curb and runs over pedestrians jumps from car with butcher knife starts cutting up people cop shoots and kills dude I think it was over before the first alert went out actually. The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.
So it seems the active "shooter" did not have a gun.
