Oh, for 99.9 percent they earn their pay. What little they get as compared to some fancy suit. I'm sorry but we obviously live in very different worlds. In my opinion there are jobs that should be valued and rewarded at a higher level. The ones that actually contribute to a better society. Doctors, medics, nurses - farmers or teachers for that matter. They're at the very foundations of building a desirable society.

@Brian: how many jobs do you have? If too many, why don't you just get training for a better job?

It's not that common that I agree with Brian, but I have worked the emergency services for 5 years. A job that took us to nursing homes quite often. It's but one of the reasons why I didn't want my mom to end up there. Her last days at the hospital weren't much better either. She got an MRSA, which ultimately cost her life.

Truth is, and I have to say this, you're talking out of your ass right now. Staff in any of these facilities is overworked and underpaid. It's on the ass end of desirable jobs. People tend to look away when any of this is mentioned. It doesn't concern them, long as they're healthy. And if they no longer are, they've got no lobby.

I've been on the receiving end. Both parents, terminal cancer, first in home care, then NH, then NH hospice. I also was a nursing home consultant for up to 12 homes/yr in the 1980's for 5 years, in the homes every week day and often on weekends and holidays. I've been a part of state audits, patients care review, incident review, geriatric medical rounds, P&T committees, the strangest may have been the impaction team .... I think that my ass knows more than your ass.

You see all types that work in the homes, caring and not, earning their pay and not, overworked and minimal working. And your right, they are not the most desirable  jobs. But there are undesirable jobs across all of working world. Just because they are not desirable and low wage does that mean they don't need to earn their pay?

Then you are blind and delusional

Why not work for yourself? Be your own boss? Implement your business model that pays your employees well. Bless many lives including your own.

Holy fuck you over simplistic dumbass.

THIS IS NOT ABOUT 1 PERSON you stupid fuck.

And in a very literal sense if you accept evolution, then you should also know how fucking stupid that statement is.

You have a very narrow view of the world. I also don't take kindly to your passive aggressive "I'm just trying to be helpful" bullshit which is nothing but a way to pretend you don't look down on others.

1.... READ AND RE READ UNTIL YOU GET IT.

STOP making this about me. This is about an entire economy that affects a large population, not just me. I don't take it personally in the sense that everyone wants different things. I do take it personally because the collective climate IS having a very negative affect, NOT JUST ON ME, but on people I know who are NOT ME, got it? You cant be that fucking dense.

2. The higher up you go IN ANYTHING the fewer spots there are. Just like only 1 sperm will get to the egg. MOST humans if lucky manage to keep a roof over their heads, most ARE WORKERS DUMBASS, most will not own businesses. And what the fuck makes you think everyone would want to in any case? You fucking talk like Trump.

The world already has enough rich people, what the world need is more WORKER stability.

You have the logic of an alpha male chimpanzee, " If you cant bully your way the top of the troop, well then sucks to be you".

Take your condescending patronizing over simplistic "just do it" and shove it up your ass. Just admit you are selfish,  that would be more honest.

Ahhhh, but this is about you. It's all about you. I don't think you really give a shit about anyone but yourself and maybe your mom.

The whole world is out to personally fuck you over. Poor, poor Brian. Better grab the lube!

He's making it personal. But one of the reasons why I seldomly agree with him. But he's bringing up valid points in this thread. Most of all what we, as a society, consider important and what we tend to brush under the rug. Which jobs we tend to value and if these jobs really are the most important to move us forward.

It's a pitty that Brian throws a fit again, but I consider the discussion to be pretty important and getting far too little attention. As I said, I observed it from both sides. Working the field and having a relative in need of the services. One day I may require these services too. There was a time when I worked the emergency services, that we discussed amongst us to off ourselves before being confined in any of these facilities for the rest of our lives.

You'd have a case if I were the only liberal on the planet, problem is, I am not the only liberal, so that kinda fucks over your sample rate.

NO FUCKFACE, the world IS NOT out to get me personally. You have the same reading comprehension problem as Pete.

CONTEXT ASSHOLE.

YES AND NO

No, I don't take it personally in that humans have different goals, no. I DON'T HATE ALL WEALTH OR BUSINESS OWNERS. <-------KEEP READING UNTIL YOU FUCKING GET THAT.

Yes, I do take your attitude personally because I have worked for assholes with your attitude. And right now the top is far too full of assholes with your attitude.

AND if I died right now, it would still remain that people DO suffer from a climate of "fuck you I got mine". EVEN if I was never born.

You like Pete are the paranoid fucks. You've been conditioned to think anything that questions your economic views is robbery. NO YOU STUPID FUCK. Nobody is against the private sector or business ownership. What Abris and many others here is question the CLIMATE and direction.

"Fuck you I got mine" is not an economic policy.

Poor Brian. Always the victim. Always abused. Never gets or is given what he thinks he deserves. Never treated good enough. Always misunderstood. Wah, wah, wah!
