Fantasy? You have proof of that I suppose. If so please present it, if I'm wrong I would like to know it. It better be good because I know God personally.

Case closed.  You're as crazy as a shithouse rat.

Well the bible is an obvious fantasy so any faith based on that is dubious, have you read it?

Obvious? I see nothing in the Bible that's fantasy. Yes, I've read it from beginning to end and many hours studying it. No fantasy, all reality. Believe I asked for some proof not just what pops into the head.

God loves those who believe and those who do not and the same goes for me, you have no choice in this matter. That puts the matter of total free will to rest.

No proof needed,  I did not make a scientific claim and neither did you.

You're correct neither did but then most court cases do not deal in scientific claims. We are not discussing science the supernatural is the discussion and I think you know what I was getting at. Neither of us have the proof the other requires and my objection was to your wording against what I believe.

I give you the tale IN THE BIBLE of Sampson and delila.

http://christianity.about.com/od/biblest...elilah.htm

This is a woman who robbed a man of his strength by giving him a haircut.
All reality no fantasy, yeah right.

Quote:Using her powers of seduction and deception, Delilah persistently wore down Samson with her repeated requests, until he finally divulged the crucial information. Having taken the Nazirite vow at birth, Samson had been set apart to God. As part of that vow, his hair was never to be cut.

When Samson told Delilah that his strength would leave him if a razor were to be used on his head, she cunningly crafted her plan with the Philistine rulers.

I could go on but it really is a load of bollocks. And rather obvious bollocks at that. I cannot believe that anybody can believe tat that is real for even a moment, how gullible would you have to be!

You can fix ignorance, you can't fix stupid.

What's fantasy here is you believe that this woman robbed him of his strength.

Now let me explain what I said above. As you posted Samson took a vow to God and then broke that vow, he sinned against God and God took his power. Delilah was an instrument in God's work, if you hadn't given up on the rest of the story you might have seen what I'm explaining. Samson's power was restored even though his hair had been cut off, the whole time it was God's power within Samson, some of the same power that created the universe.

Touche'! My objection is to the wording of what you say also. We can agree to object to one another.

"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Here's the thing,GC. You have this reaction to what is a fairly mundane assertion, then in the same virtual breath you go on to say

and you don't see a problem with that?
At the age of five, Skagra decided emphatically that God did not exist.  This revelation tends to make most people in the universe who have it react in one of two ways - with relief or with despair.  Only Skagra responded to it by thinking, 'Wait a second.  That means there's a situation vacant.'
