I love how these stock 'villain' characters (i.e., uppity intellectuals) in believers' modern legends are so dim-witted that they are undone by the simplest and most simple-minded of Socratic exchanges.

The absence of good/love/faith/whatever is neutral. Another result of binary religious thinking.

Otherwise they are suggesting not loving something is the same as smashing it to pieces with a baseball bat.

If nothing else, he's partly responsible for the evil in the world. If you see evil being committed, and have the power to stop it, but do nothing, then that's still a crime. At least for everyone else. About the only counter argument I've heard is the free will argument. Which means he values the free will of a rapist more than the free will of the victim.
