What Do You Call a Fiscal Progressive and a Social Conservative?

RE: What Do You Call a Fiscal Progressive and a Social Conservative?
Ish, it's commonly associated with MRA, as it's message is amenable to MRA ideology...but consider this.

To red pill a liberal, is to show them that the world is not how they thought it was.  To bring them around to the light (as they see it), particularly, on liberal social issues and sacred cows.  Neocons, famously, are liberals mugged by reality. Not averse to big spending or even welfare programs (their socialist/leftist heritage), but clinging more closely to conservative values (modern american liberalism).
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

That's pretty similar to how I got to where I am, though I jettisoned the conservative values. The modern conservative worldview is unintentionally dystopian.

I found myself agreeing with some of what you had to say, except women not being oppressed at one point, transgenderism being a mental disorder, and the abortion deal.

With women, they werent even able to vote at one point.
With transgenders, c'mon dude, thats a bit harsh and there isn't much reason to consider it a disorder.
With abortion the baby is apart of the womans body, and while I agree that it can be unfair that women have the final say in abortion whether or not men agree with it, it is still the womans body and still her choice.

I understand you were just asking for a better term to describe where you fit but just felt like I needed to comment. I don't really have a term for you, sorry man.

I could make a case for each of my positions, but I won't right now.  Maybe I'll say that my views are that  "I was feelin' the Bern."  Bernie was more into the economic and environmental justice, and less into the social justice.  Or I could just call myself independent.

What is different from before, though, is that now I can defend each of my positions because I arrived at them after a lot of research and thought.  Back when I was a devout Mormon, I was conservative because that's what I was expected to be, and I never took the time to research the issues and come to my own conclusions.

All redpill means is knowledge that isn't commonly known. To be 'redpilled' is to come to believe something about the world that drastically differs from what is commonly accepted. You can be redpilled about different things.

Aka waking up and realizing that you really hate $X. Or never really supported $Y.

"Red Pill" often is used to describes a "Won't get fooled again" attitude where somehow one was fooled by the universe or one of its myriad denizens.

It also conveniently outs a person as a rube. Just because one was fooled like every other fucking ape on this planet is no excuse to advertise to everyone else the extent of ones own tomfoolery.

No, that isn't what it means.  It means to become aware of something you didn't know before. It might even be the prevailing belief in society. It has nothing to do with what is or is not commonly accepted.

You need to worry less about labels.  Just be yourself.

Some peoples selves are so despicable that they might want to identify a friendly group to pal around with.  Otherwise, life could be shitty. Peer affirmation is important.
