There's no threat...

Just finished cleaning the basement because of a failed level switch controller in the washer. I heard water running, but I thought it was one of my kids in the shower, so I didn't realize the washer was pumping water all over hell and back. If I hadn't had to pee, I probably wouldn't have noticed until my feet were squishing the carpet. Yes, finished basement.

Modern technology is great, until there's a catastrophic failure.

The silver lining. At least I don't have to to worry about getting the carpets cleaned.

I just got of the phone with my sister.
Her ex husband left her for a 19 year old and kicked her out of the house, then claimed that she just left of her own accord and he gets to keep the kids.
There's been one court case that lasted 10 minutes and she has to wait for 3 more months for the next one.
She gets to see them 3 weekends out of the month.
So far it's cost her $28 000 in legal fees.
She estimates it to be at least $60 000 by the time it's over and even then she may be no better off.
My mum's going to sell her house to help out.
Lawyers are the scum of the earth, fucking parasites.

Damn LL.... I'm so sorry for your daughter and your sister. I understand all too well what it's like dealing with an asshole ex on that level.

I just cleaned the kitchen and got all out of breath (damn that activity induced asthma) so I guess for now a breathing treatment is in order.
