What up TX, faith based adoptions/foster care?

RE: What up TX, faith based adoptions/foster care?
I wonder if FLDS breeding colonies (US taxpayer supported, BTW) simultaneously put male infants up for adoption while adopting female infants ??

(and it would be a shame if they hadn't thought of that yet and I'm responsible for them doing it now)
The granting of a pardon is an imputation of guilt, and the acceptance a confession of it.

As someone who works in this field and related fields . This pisses me off . I have said it once I'll say it again religious  organization should have nothing to do with adoption. And forcing LGBT children to under go conversion therapy  should be declared child abuse.

Well, the CPS here has completely screwed the pooch anyway, getting kids killed by abusive foster parents, literally. Now they'll get killed by abusive foster parents in the name of God.

This legislative session has been an utter disaster.

I do, however, think that a successful appeal could be mounted under the rubric of the 14th Amendment. Note that it would have to happen soon unless the Dems win control of the federal Senate in 2018 and gain the ability to block any further SCOTUS nominations.

AFAIK, the FLDS breeding colonies are so flush with resources they apparently don't feel much pressure to either abort, adopt out or terminate male offspring, instead raising them to post puberty before banishing them (in virtually all cases).

Still, the logic of adopting them out, and adopting female infants in would have to be something for them to consider.

And Texas might be a place to do it.  (assuming Texas would be willing to subsidize their breeding colonies)

You know Texas should look at other places which adopted a faith based adoption system. In Ireland it lead to baby trafficking for profit and 800 babies buried in a septic tank in Tuam. In Argentina and Spain it lead to babies been given to members of the junta while their parents were being tortured and killed for being ideologically impure.

If we're going to restrict adoption, I'd say don't allow Texas state legislator's to do it until they fix the awful maternal mortality rate in Texas.

That is horrifying. I mean truly horrifying. It's abuse plain and simple. Fuck Texas. Fuck them with a rusty rake, and then a fresh machete.

As someone living in Texas and thinking we might need to adopt I will say this is heartbreaking. The only ray of hope is that it most likely won't happen. I doubt it will get through what it needs to. My newsfeed on Facebook has been blown up with this convo.
