To bad that ironically does not reflect reality. And in fact all you done is replace a corrupt lying  doctor with a corrupt  lying faith healer.

Quote:Lets please be intellectually honest. Your comparison does not even remotely mirror reality.

Yes it does being good at business doesn't mean shit . And your in no position to lecture me on reality with all BS your spewing . Fact is Trump does not know shit about running a country and he constantly demonstrates it.

Quote:People said the exact same thing about Obama. When the evidence is examined from both conservative and liberal perspectives both hold true

Nope Obama for the most part did okay job on the foreign policy file .Trump in 3 months has made America a pariah and a laughingstock . Your clearly looking at this from an apologists perspective.

Quote:As for immigration

Your first statement is bullshit
Your second statement is bullshit
And my point remains unchallenged

So overall your reasons for liking Trump are weak as hell .And your clearly living in a bigger fantasy world. Then the  most deranged of bible thumpers.

I believe professional politicians are a huge problem in the US as a whole.  They become insulated form the real world their constituents live in.  The longer they stay in office the more power and influence they acquire, a good deal of it derived from lobbyists.  I do not see why a two term limit on all senate/congress seats would not help matters.  Nothing is going to stop the political lobby but there influence should be negated as much as possible.

The fact that Trump was not a professional politician and was in private business (even with bankruptcies) leads many business owners to have confidence.  Not that the government is going to do something for them, but to not do something to them.  Ie: $15.00 minimum wage, or imposing some other regulation that will make business harder to run or eat away at the bottom line.  I remember President Obomas speach on July 13, 2012. where he made the statement"
If you were successful, somebody along the line gave you some help. There was a great teacher somewhere in your life. Somebody helped to create this unbelievable American system that we have that allowed you to thrive. Somebody invested in roads and bridges. If you’ve got a business — you didn’t build that. Somebody else made that happen. The Internet didn’t get invented on its own. Government research created the Internet so that all the companies could make money off the Internet."

Business especially small ones are what enables the country to grow.  He has it ass backwards, the government does not provide for businesses, business provide for the government.

Every time someone mentions tax cuts, liberals scream that it only effects the rich.  Truth is the very rich don't pay a lot of taxes, they use legal means to make their money non taxable.  if they can pay someone $5.00 to legally shelter $20 they do it.  10% means very little to them.  But it does men something to small business owners, allowing them to keep more of their money will often cause the business to grow.  The more your business grows the more money you make in the same amount of time.

There are plenty of instances where Obama not only made us look weak but undermined US foreign goals.  Setting a time table for troop removal, leaving a power vacuum causing the rise of Isis, the Iran treaty.

As for immigration.  It is true that Obama deported a large number of illegals.  I am the first to say good job, I wish he had done more to enforce immigration law.  Illegal immigration has been on a steady decline sense 2008 (probably bad economy)  According to the US customs and border protection illegal immigration dropped 40% in Jan and Feb of 2017 March of 17 was the lowest apprehension month in 17 years..  In April of 2016 illegal immigration was up 40% (same source).  Obama allowed sanctuary cities, and did not enforce existing immigration law as he should have.  I would be willing to bet that Pres Trump will have a much higher tally of deportations than Obama.  I see the necessity of allowing immigration of political/religious refugees.  As a whole we should pick and choose who we let immigrate to the US, why should we allow someone in if they are going to become a burden on society?

He didn't get a single jot of that backwards....who told you otherwise?  It seems as though you're exactly the sort of person he was referring to, who takes every bit of the infrastructure and history and demographics of this country for granted.  There is no one and no group in this country that sucks at the government teat harder and longer than american business. From the small to the biggest.

Good thing Obama..and literally every american politcian is super business friendly, even if they do want to tax the living piss out of the rich..who, apparently wouldn't miss it anyway?  Good to know, because we could really use a slice of the money they've grifted off our infrastructure.

OH, IDK, we pulled back the people and then Drone Warlord Obama went full Skynet on their ass, so......?

More, you think he should have done more, than the more than any other president that he did?  I'm guessing Trump will lose again, stat v stat vs Obama.

A, no ones going to fund his ethnic cleansing.
B, he wont serve for 8 years.

In any case, I understand where the comment came from now, at least, you've somehow attributed immigration stats to the savior of our race.  Wink

I am glad, finally, that you Germans have seen the light!  America rules!!  Just be thankful that we are not forcing the rest of you to serve us on your knees and/or bow in our presence.  But, just in case, I am doing my best to learn high German so that I can speak the language when I come over there, although, all of you probably speak American English as well as I do!

Oh I'm sorry I can't hear you over the 9 Olympic gold medals to you 2. And really only reason you win NHL is because you get foreign players(like Canadians)  . Almost any time it's an all American team you guys get slaughtered . There is a reason most of the greatest hockey players in history have been Canadian.

Wayne Gretzky
Bobby Orr
Gordie Howe
Mario Lemieux
Maurice "Rocket" Richard
Bobby Hull
Guy Lafleur
Doug Harvey
Tim Horton
Brett Hull
Etc

Not to mention hockey's current golden boy Sidney Crosby

I did vote for Donald Trump, had to hold my nose the whole time, but i got it done.
Trump is not what conservatives seek in a representative, he does have a few qualities though.
- He is not a professional politician
- He has real life business experience
- USA first, Pro USA attitude over all, Military, rework foreign trade deals and other policies to better help business in the USA.
- His stance on immigration is also popular among conservatives, deport illegals, keep people from terrorist hot spots out.
- Pro Tax cut
I may think of more later.
I do not think I have come across the 6 moral foundations, but i have seen similar lists.
1) Care/harm: This foundation is related to our long evolution as mammals with attachment systems and an ability to feel (and dislike) the pain of others. It underlies virtues of kindness, gentleness, and nurturance.

Is this referring to empathy?  I try to treat people how I would like to be treated.

2) Fairness/cheating: This foundation is related to the evolutionary process of reciprocal altruism. It generates ideas of justice, rights, and autonomy.

[Note: In our original conception, Fairness included concerns about equality, which are more strongly endorsed by political liberals. However, as we reformulated the theory in 2011 based on new data, we emphasize proportionality, which is endorsed by everyone, but is more strongly endorsed by conservatives]

I think this means that laws should be applied equally to all people regardless of our differences.  If that is the core meaning of #2 then I believe in that statement.

3) Loyalty/betrayal: This foundation is related to our long history as tribal creatures able to form shifting coalitions. It underlies virtues of patriotism and self-sacrifice for the group. It is active anytime people feel that it's "one for all, and all for one."

I think loyalty is a crucial part of ones character, you can always tell who your true friends are when things go to hell.

4) Authority/subversion: This foundation was shaped by our long primate history of hierarchical social interactions. It underlies virtues of leadership and followership, including deference to legitimate authority and respect for traditions.

I am comfortable as a follower when the person leading is competent.  I have moved my self into leadership positions when I feel i am the best person for a job.  Rule by committee can be done but does not lend itself to quick decision making.

5) Sanctity/degradation: This foundation was shaped by the psychology of disgust and contamination. It underlies religious notions of striving to live in an elevated, less carnal, more noble way. It underlies the widespread idea that the body is a temple which can be desecrated by immoral activities and contaminants (an idea not unique to religious traditions).

We think there are several other very good candidates for "foundationhood," especially:

I typically follow the rules and guidelines of society, and like society my values have changed over the years.  Some things i do not adhere to , but they do not harm anyone.
6) Liberty/oppression: This foundation is about the feelings of reactance and resentment people feel toward those who dominate them and restrict their liberty. Its intuitions are often in tension with those of the authority foundation. The hatred of bullies and dominators motivates people to come together, in solidarity, to oppose or take down the oppressor. We report some preliminary work on this potential foundation in , on the psychology of libertarianism and liberty.

Part of this ties into #4 I have no problem being led by a competent leader.  If rules are fairly enforced than I'll tolerate short term incompetence.  I have been in situations where I have removed myself from the equation because of bad leadership with no way to rectify.  I have also helped similar situations by aiding in the removal of incompetent leaders, or obstructions.

If i were to put them in order for how i live my life it would be:

Correction: Why would you vote for a party* who hates you with a fire that burns brighter than a thousand suns?
