I sort of feel the same way about this as I do about gay marriage. Why shouldn't the gays suffer as much as the rest of us.
With this, I think women have as much right to abuse their positions and molest children as men do.

I really have a problem with women being in a religion that considers them inferior to men in the first place, let alone wondering why women would want to become priests and spread that poison.
I guess, for some, it's a type of Stockholm syndrome.

My mother's sister is married to a priest (he's an orthodox priest, they can get married), and she works as a teacher. How can a smart woman (a little to emotional, though), who has a job, wanna have a husband that works in an institution that doesn't allow women?
Have you asked her? What does she say?

In my religion, we believe that God only gifted men with the ability to give "spiritual life" (aka, perform the sacraments). It isn't that we don't think women should be allowed. It's that we believe they simply cannot.
In the same way, God only gifted women with the ability to give physical life (carry a pregnancy, give birth, and nurse). It doesn't mean one sex is better than the other. Just that we believe them to have different roles in some cases.

Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Old Testament and New concur women cannot instruct men in religious practice. A welcome (and rare) instance of churchy folk reading, comprehending, and acknowledging their religious Scriptures.

Yeah, this is going to change, honey. Just wait; it's going down the theological rabbit hole along with contraception, abortion, homosexuality, etc., etc. Same thing was said about the divorced and civilly remarried receiving Holy Communion.

You cannot nor should think in terms of one religion, or one sect but globally. On average depending on sect and geography most of the world's religions are male dominated. Most holy figures, even in India and Asia are male figures. Just like you wont in the near future see a female Pope, it is just as unlikely in the near future to see a female Dali Lama.
Just like most Rabbis are male. Islam has a problem too.
Sexism is not a patent owned by Christianity alone. It exists worldwide, and not just in religion, but also in global corporatism. Most CEOS worldwide are men.
Our species ON AVERAGE, globally is still stuck in an antiquated past where gender roles still exist. The west has gotten better over the past century, but it exists everywhere. Even in politics, just like America's congress is male dominated, Japan does not even have the same federal ratio female representation we do.
It isn't just Christianity, the books of Abraham, and even in polytheism back then, humans had no concept that girls/women were equal contributors genetically to the next generation of offspring.
Back then most humans thought of females as mere fields to plant the male seed in. It is only because of the discovery of evolution and DNA that we now know that females are just as important to our species survival as men.

But they still menstruate. And the Bible's fixation on the topic is telling.
And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.
