...until you add bruises and needle marks. Sad

I'm still bruised from a tissue marker replacement, actually, and it's been 3 weeks.  I should have taken photos.  It was gross. Tongue

They could have waited a couple of weeks for the mammogram, yes?

No, they do a mammogram directly after breast and/or lymphnode biopsies to confirm the tissue markers put in the right places (tumor-adjacent) so those happened the same day as their respective procedures. (Fun extra story, my larger tumor [I have two] is close to my chest wall so in addition to having the mammogram directly after the biospy, it was also really difficult to image so I was having my boob smooshed while also being smooshed into the machine.)

So, I had the diagnostic mammogram, then immediately had the biopsy, and then immediately had another mammogram. I had my second post-biopsy mammogram three days later, after bruises had fully blossomed, because one of the tissue markers, well... it came out and had to be replaced, and then a mammogram to confirm replacement. Dodgy  I had my third post-biopsy mammogram after my lymphnode biopsy ten days after the second one, thirteen days after the initial, diagnostic mammogram that found my tumors and they did the biopsies. Four mammograms in 13 days.

So no, they don't wait.

Suck it up, buttercup.

To be fair, "aged 32" and "breast cancer" don't really belong in the same sentence either, but sometimes you don't get a choice.  Dodgy

Try having it done after you've had two biopsies of said boob and are sporting some wicked bruises.

Soundsers and Whitecaps in a few. Also trying to pack for Orange County tomorrow. Kind of up against a wall.
