What are the two pieces of advice you will give future parents that want to raise awesome kids?

Don't have kids if you don't want kids. Sex makes babies, in case you didn't know.

I'd even suggest MOCKING your friends and neighbors and relatives who are not following Rosemonds advice . . . .

1. Set a good example by taking care of yourself.

2. Your kids may notice your true intentions more than you realize. So less white lies to spare them crying and more being true to yourself... they will follow suit.

Those are my pieces of advice but then... I'm no parent. I'm basing it entirely on how I felt as a child. I felt like my parents behaved like they thought I was stupid and they were sooooooooo easy to see through and see what they really felt and thought.

2. Don't dismiss what they're personally experiencing.

1. Be a guide, not a dictator
2. See yourself through your child's eyes

Tell them often that you love them and make it understood that it doesn't matter what they do, you will always love them.
Stand your ground when it comes to discipline and be consistent. In the long run it helps you both.
