The benefits of being christian. Where are there???
RE: The benefits of being christian. Where are there???
SH just changed his username to "Banned." Possibly just got tired of slugging it out with us and withdrew of his own accord.

The faulty premise of the OP is the expectation of some reward for serving the Lord.

It's a common question on AF. What is the advantage of Christianity?. How will it benefit me? What's in it for me. See the pattern? Maybe it's not about you.

Go re-read the OP. It's the most selfish thing I've read in a long time.

So what's wrong with being "selfish" when considering the pros and cons of pursuing a particular way of life?

I think that is being discriminating and healthy. Yet I wonder, when did being discriminating or, to discriminate become a bad word. Should we rather be indiscriminate? That would be a really bad idea when pursuing a way of life.
My girlfriend thinks I'm a stalker. Well...she's not my girlfriend "yet".

I discovered a new vitamin that fights cancer. I call it ...B9

I also invented a diet pill. It works great but had to quit taking it because of the side effects. Turns out my penis is larger and my hair grew back. And whoa! If you think my hair is nice!

When does size truly matter? When it's TOO big!

I'm currently working on a new pill I call "Destenze". However...now my shoes don't fit.

Most likely the word "discrimination" has been tainted by its association with racism and similar things.  It has also been used in a more positive (but still a bit off-putting) sense in ad copy, such as "The |car|watch|whisky| for the discriminating gentleman."

I agree that being indiscriminate is a rather bad idea.  Life is much too short to scatter one's efforts in a hundred different directions.  In many ways we become who we are by a process of editing out things that don't quite work for us, concentrating on the things we see as more important.

I'm glad you see that I am "Most Important". You know what, I think so too!

Yes, I am being discriminately sexy as the absolute sexiest man alive when I say, "Astreja" is HOT! I am being discriminating!

Glad we cleared the air, my love turtle dove!

You all see that a theist and an atheist are opposites that attract in a match made in heaven--AND HEAVENLY!
