Really? Their god cannot be seen, touched or detected in any rational way and you can only feel and hear him in your head. Tell tale signs of an over active imagination at play with no logic or reason to control it (obvious delusion), not to mention they often look up when talking to him.
So yeah, an invisible man in the sky. Or sky-daddy in other words.

Mankind's intelligence walks hand in hand with it's stupidity.

Being an atheist says nothing about your overall intelligence, it just means you don't believe in god. Atheists can be as bright as any scientist and as stupid as any creationist.

You never really know just how stupid someone is, until you've argued with them.

Same ole Statler ... hearing and seeing what he wants to hear and see. I'm the most honest mother fucker on this forum. Tongue

I do realize that. The fact that you find something believable has no bearing on whether it is true or not. I know you don't realize that.

That's just moving the goalposts though, Rhythm’s reasoning was that if something is not invisible then you need pictures of it or it does not exist. I was merely pointing out how absurd that position is.

Ok, fine if you don't like that one here is another one that works. Is your brain invisible? No? Give me pics of your brain or it doesn't exist!

People saw God when he took the form of a man and walked amongst them, Moses also was given a view of God as He passed by. God is also not a human "man", he is a God. He also does not live in the sky, he is omnipresent. So get real.

You know Stat, from some point in the universe the revolution is actually still visible. SCIENCE! I'd be willing to charter a rocket if I had assurances from every theist on earth that they wanted to be loaded thereupon to falsify my claim in person...lol.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

You're taking their word for it. There is no evidence to suggest that they actually saw a god and that they hadn't confused a very normal human for a god. Failer to question, test, and verify means any claim made without sufficient evidence to back it up will be utterly worthless.

I could claim that I saw the god Thor and he told me himself that the christian religion was completely false. Would you take my word for it?

LOL@ omnipresent gods, so Yahweh is the god of the hair between my ass checks, and is in fact present between my ass cheeks. You'd think I would've noticed.

Normal humans don't perform miracles, predict future events, and rise from the dead three days later. So that's just not going to cut it.

No I would not believe you, Thor does not exist.

The point was that Christians do not believe in an invisible man who lives in the sky, that was nothing more than a question begging epithet on your part, argue against actual Christianity sometime and maybe we can have a discussion.
