My wife tells me stories from her first pregnancy where they gave her these bottles with stupidly narrow necks for her to provide urine samples. Try to pee (as a woman) into a container having a Coke-bottle sized opening, when you are 7 months pregnant, and not get it on your fingers.  I used to design ergonomic tools, and this sure would not have been my design.
