Also, the refit Constitution class Enterprise. I really like the defiant . It's not a big capital ship . It's a sleek scrappy small scale skirmisher. It was also specifically built to kill Borg.
One of my favourite quotes from the movie First Contact, after Worf and the crew of the Defiant were beamed about the Enterprise.
Worf, "The Defiant?"
Data (I think); "Drifting but salvageable."
Riker; "Tough little ship."
Worf, "Little??"
I think I recall a description of the Defiant having more firepower than a Galaxy class ship.
There was something really good about watching that ship sweep in and blow a line of Dominion ships to hell. It said, "The Federation will do what it can to prevent war, but if you insist, we'll kick your arse!"

Nice, closest I've ever gotten to fame (outside of meeting GAA stars, that's actually easy enough when you're involved with the local club) was ringing up John Kenny of D'Unbelievables weekly shop.

At the one I went to, Nana Visitor was there but I regret I didn't get to meet her. And Colm Meaney was on the stand next to Rene... but he seemed like a complete asshole so up himself... complete opposite from Rene who was very down to earth and modest... so I didn't go over to talk to him pretty much on principle

Too be fair thou he hates conventions because he has a fear of crowds . But is obligated to go to them .

Okay, I'll let him off then I kind of get where he's coming from cos I'm not fond of crowds either... at these sorts of things I usually need to escape from it a bit... just disappear off to my hotel room or the toilet or whatever for a while.

I haven't met any of the Trek cast.
I've chatted with a couple on line, but that's about it.
I've met Amanda Tapping, Don S Davis, and Teryl Rothery from StarGate SG!, though.
