We can’t action on anything without a report to start with which is why we also report posts when we find rule violations. But it’s not really fair to expect us to comb every thread searching for rule violations. Not that you are expecting that but it does sometimes feel like some people expect us to do that. I get why that would be frustrating. If you think we’ve made mistakes you could maybe compile some of the posts you’ve reported in the Questions for Staff subforum and let us know why you think we should have decided differently. That’s just an idea. We are just people so we’re certainly capable of being wrong.
Have I ever been reported? Lol. Now I'm curious.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."

Oh wait, my one post was reported... the one with the video animation of trans bottom surgery lol. But it ended up getting dismissed. And I think when I was new I broke the 30/30 rule a couple of times because I thought my post fell under the exception of 30/30.

So ... since challenging views would be allowed in such a subforum, are the following specific examples considered civil/uncivil? Which is which?
1. Referring to the Bible/Quran as "magic book" or "book of fairy tales". 2. Pointing out to someone that they're being disingenuous, or are incredibly ignorant about a subject they're discussing. 3. Willfully referring to someone as a gender that they clearly do not identify with. 4. Referring to certain views as nonsense/garbage/rubbish, even while seriously addressing the various points being made. If you have to ask, err on the side of caution and don't say it. How hard was that?
To be honest, I must give props to this idea.
It must be frustrating to endure non-civility, when in major publicized debates such words as we use here are not used there.
