No, actually it was never completely destroyed.  Besieged, taken, sacked and occupied many times, but never was it destroyed.  Your prophecy was flat out 100% wrong.   As to it never being found, it was continuously found during every second of last 3500 years by people who lived in it, near it, sailed to it, traveled to it, besieged it, sacked it, did commerce in it, fucked in it,, and worst of all preached Christianity in it.
