I personally think it's a great idea. A full space force will potentially allow for mining on the Moon or Mars, bases around the solar system, and so on.

Think of the pressure at the bottom of the trench. You know the WLB can't handle pressure!
The US military already operates in space. Most of it is through the US Air Force Space Command but the Navy and even the Army have their own programs as well.
Trump is not empowered to create a dedicated space force. That would require amending the National Security Act of 1947 (which created the US Air Force) and is something only the Legislative Branch can do. Trump is talking out of his ass, as usual.
Only two things are infinite, the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former.
