German Catholic Priests Abused More Than 3,600 Kids

More than 3,600 children in Germany were assaulted by Roman Catholic priests between 1946 and 2014
Most of the victims were boys, and more than half were aged 13 or younger.
Predatory clerics were often moved to new communities, where no warning was issued about their actions.
The study was compiled by three German universities, using 38,000 documents from 27 German dioceses. Its authors said the true extent of the abuse may be even greater, as some records were "destroyed or manipulated".

Why the fuck would the average catholic even want to be associated any more.
Do they understand that by remaining they are passively condoning these acts?

Didn't the putative Jesus call the people his flock? The sheep analogy serves double duty in this sense. I guess when ne has enough invested in the religion, one doesn't want to cause waves. Inasmuch as I am no longer a member of the RCC, my voicing outrage would do little, since the laity has been told "silence and prayers" and dare not raise their heads from the grass.

They want punch and pie in the sky..and the RCC is selling it. The bodies and lives of children have always been a cost of business the laity is willing to bear.

You know maybe this is a deadly blow to Catholic Church because Germany is perhaps the richest "Catholic country" and I think it's safe to say that Germany is a cash cow to the Vatican, considering that Catholic Germans must pay 10% out of their monthly pay and if something was there to disrupt that it seems Vatican would be in a serious doo-doo.
But, of course, it may not disrupt the believing Germans at all and maybe Vatican has some other valuable cash sources.
