5 star recommendation - check it out!
Laughs, drama, and, for the dudes or those that appreciate it, ladies in skimpy outfits being bad ass.
I've heard it's good, but the concept just doesn't interest me. I never enjoyed wrestling growing up, even though my father and sister did, and I figure I'd feel the same about a fictional female wrestling cast.
And for future reference this is the thread for television shows.

I must say that, IMO, the movie was quite good: the characters felt very real to me, and I cared about what happened to them. In particular, the bond of friendship that had developed between Kat and Paul was very moving.
I watched part of that the other day. I didn't find it engaging. I thought the acting rather wooden. Maybe it abets itself in the end, but I found it difficult getting to that point.

Just watched Reign of Fire.
Not bad.
Nothing scares me or grosses me out too much.
But put a bunch of kids in a room crying and screaming and I can barely stand it.
I almost stopped watching in that bit in case something bad happened to one of them.

When the big dragon torched the convoy my immediate thought was "NOW they can do The Hobbit as a movie!"

'The Beast With Five Fingers'. I've got two fingers for this film.

I couldn't possibly care less about wrestling IRL either. Never watched it, never cared to, made fun of people who liked it.
But this show is awesome.
Wrestling is sort of the vehicle through which the characters happen to find themselves brought together but it's the drama between the characters that sustains the show.
I'd say give the first three episodes a watch and then make up your mind about it.

De hel van Tanger.
Translated: The hell of Tangier.
A belgian film. I've been seeing a lot of those it occurs to me.
Two busdrivers for tourist-trips are made to transport half a bus of moroccans from antwerp to Tangier, Morocco. What they don't know is that it is a set-up. Their boss, allong for The trip, has 355 kilograms of drugs, i forget which kind, hidden on The bus on the way back.
The three of them wind up in jail, in horendous conditions. What follows is years of The protagonist in declining health without any care amongst crooked abusive guards, torture, corrupt lawyers and judges and impassive bureaucrats. The belgian government also fails to act and it takes 2 years and three months before The lead is eventually, and without any given reason, released.
Based on a true story. And it Happened less than 25 years ago. The man The lead portrayed never fully recovered and died in 2007. For this movie, The lead had to lose 35 kilograms and then regain it bit by bit as they shot The movie backwards.
Now that's dedication in an actor.
Real good film. I praise and recommend it fullheartedly.

The Predator: for what it was, a good movie. I went in with low expectations and got an action popcorn flick showing the titular Predators in top form and laced with humor from lowest common denominator to in-jokes. Have to admit I loved how they poked at the fans with, "well if it hunts others, it's more like a sportsman, not a predator." "We took a vote on the name, deal with it." It's also interesting to see Olivia Munn kicking butt and playing a character with a PhD again; her career's come some distance from G4 and getting pied in the face.

Sweet. Nice to see someone rate a movie against its peers.
