Flake and Corker are not running for re-election.  Collins was just elected to a 6 year term.  Murkowsky would have the governor of Alaska behind her.

Kavanaugh's strong support from Trump, McConnell, and Ryan (among other ratfinks) is very telling about his character.

I meant Republican aspirations in general, not specifically the aspirations of those on the committee.

I have a bad feeling that Kavanagh will still be confirmed. He's been groomed for decades to take this position. This is one more step in the soft coup of America by the religious extreme right. There could be a tape showing Kavanagh trying to rape that girl, and they would just say he was still a kid, and there is no evidence it wasn't consensual, and confirm him anyway.
