Shattering an ankle in a domestic decorating incident (don't ask). Nine pins and a plate later it still hurts. Probably didn't help that EMS took ten hours to rock up.

As far as booze goes, take a big bottle of SCOPE mouth wash and pour it into a clear container. Fill the empty bottle with vodka. Add blue food coloring until the vodka matches the original.

Put bottle in a box with other "essentials and treats". The US Postal Service will get the booze to your sailor.

Yeeeahhh, no. Drunk on watch is bad business. Would never have been caught at it.

Yep, only the hardcore alkies went that route. I accidently reported aboard USS Reeves in the PG with a bottle of Crown Royal in my bag. I tossed it overboard when I found it. Never been much of a drinker.
