LOL, attacking me instead of addressing the issues. Didn't expect more.

How was that an attack? I'm quoting from your own post in which you verbatim described using the N-word as a privilege. Maybe...just maybe it's about African Americans re-claiming some modicum of control after having almost none at all for hundreds of years. Maybe "privilege" is a gross mischaracterization no matter who is saying it. Maybe the subject is a little more nuanced than, "How come they can say it but we can't? Wah!"

" I had no idea you were so envious that it's off limits to you." So that wasn't an attack? WTF was it then?

And you cannot deny that some people can say it and others can't, which is privilege at its simplest.

But I'll be a good lad and play along.

Why would you do that? A privileged group gets to use language that gets other users banned. Logic.

Because I enjoy being here and don't wish to get banned for something like this.

When you describe using that word as a privilege you feel you don't have, what else am I supposed to infer other than you think that isn't fair? That you're missing out on something someone else has the privilege of getting to do?  Is that not how you feel?

Perhaps, "can" and "can't" are really superficial and juvenile characterizations of what we're talking about here.

Well, anyone can say it, I suppose.  But it is a particularly vile word when used about people.  I used it to try to convince Drich that name-calling isn't the same as persecution (epic fail, btw).

But I'm in someone else's house.  Since I've been asked not to use the word in any context, I won't.

Do not worry, life is fleeting and being banned from a forum is not the worse thing it can happen in a persons life.

So, USians and their PC stuff. There goes the free speech thing. Except for Drich, that can have all the free speech he wants. For obvious reasons.

If you're white you could be banned for something like this. Very discriminating.

Nope, I'm just pointing out the inequality of the situation.

I had no idea that some white people felt so "un-free" not using that particular word. What a load of crap; a sad-irony loaded load of crap.
