Since he's known, the proper course is for the woman to file an assault charge.

I'm having a hard time having much compassion for this guy and can't get all that worked up about his being outed.

Would you feel the same if he, his wife, or his kids were assaulted over this?  That's not how society is supposed to work.

Maybe he should of thought of that before he sexually assaulted someone on live tv.

Again, I'm not defending him.

But Boru, if we start putting brakes on our outrage how are we going to use Twitter to destroy people’s lives?

Yes, I'm not going to side with protecting his identity. There should be a public reaction and public consequences for his very public behavior.

But just because someone is outed does not mean that they (or their family) should be assaulted, of course I don't want that to happen. Any assaults would be other stupid people making his same mistake and then they should be placed in the same spotlight. The potential "what if" is not going to change my position.

But outing him increases the chance that he will be assaulted.  I can appreciate the sentiment, but I can't support the action.

Would you feel different if/when the victim filed charges and then his identity was made public? That's a routine occurrence for which I don't see much public assault fall out reported.

I don't recall Anne Sacoolas, or her family, being assaulted after an outing for killing a brit kid. Just saying.
