That radioplay is very boring ! Even though I heard the word Casablanca somewhere; but here is a spicy thing from the same era:

Great

But seriously : don't you feel immense anger when you see healthy humans wasting billions -if not trillions- on wars and death, and on turning medicine into an economical pressure card?

I know very much that if every citizen of earth contributed with a dollar a week; humanity will get enough medicine and healthcare

It literally gives me cramps, I’m working toward becoming a legal advocate for other people with disabilities and the waste enrages me. And it’s okay I just get seriously pissed when people use the word “lazy” in conjunction with disability.

Whatever helps a cruel person to sleep at night: the amount of pain a person with chronic disability goes through in a single morning is enough to give nightmares for healthy people. That's what I mainly learned after my diagnosis.

Hey I understand why you got pissed; it means I am making a very good progress with my posts Big Grin

Gotta try again

It's not the only way, if you're referring to communism. There is no way. Now if you can get the humans out of the loop...

“The Wanderer” came out almost 20 years after Casablanca, Atlas.

I have both Medicare and Medicaid, but I’m tired of the poverty trap. Every month it’s the same thing make 750 pay all my bills (including food and transportation) and end up with nothing because I need my medication to survive.

Ugh.  I know that trap.  If we're going to have some kind of welfare reform, it needs to be something we address.

I was stuck in a similar trap a while back.  Having debts to pay off can do that.  If I made enough money to take care of myself, half of that got taken for child support and I couldn't take care of myself anymore.  And I also didn't qualify for any kind of assistance anymore.  The only way I managed to get out of that trap, eventually, was with a lot of help from other people and finding a good job that's within walking distance from my home.  But I also worry that I'm just a hairs breath away from falling back into a similar trap.

It's really frustrating; if you ask for any kind of assistance, you're told that you shouldn't be asking for hand outs but if you do get out and work, you lose that assistance right away, which will probably cost you your job.

The VA rates me as 100% disabled. I asked them about that. "Well, it's as high as we can go." Oh.

Didn’t think there was a rating system. Either you’re disabled or you’re not.

Losing one hand is a 25% disability. Losing one head is the other 75%.

I ran the numbers and simply to keep my head above water I’d need to make 80K a year, I say 80k because 20 of it will end up going to taxes probably. Mind you on ssi I’m living on 8k a year. Fun right?
