I can understand fear of pain. Anyone who fears death: Why?
I mostly fear death because If I died today I feel I would miss so much. Getting married, having kids, seeing the world, meeting new people etc. I always feel really bad hearing about teenagers and young adults dying because it's like they will never experience the fullness of life. Of course when I'm dead I won't care but as a living person I fear that happening to me.
If I die and god is real, im so screwed.

Skip the marriage, adopt, use the internet, use the internet and move to a city
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day

True... then you don't have to worry about being noisy during sex either, or playing your music loud
I rescind my former advice to what revvie just said.

I don't think that's the same thing. You could live 100 years and not do all that stuff, if the right circumstances didn't come up. You might have a fear of not accomplishing your goals, perhaps?
When people say they fear death, generally I think they mean they fear the idea that they won't exist any more. Do I note have that right? I'll defer to you all on that, maybe I'm mistaken.

I think fear comes ultimately down to one thing; the dislike of losing control. People don't tend to like the feeling of being powerless or not being able to control a situation.
When I was young, there was a god with infinite power protecting me. Is there anyone else who felt that way? And was sure about it? but the first time I fell in love, I was thrown down - or maybe I broke free - and I bade farewell to God and became human. Now I don't have God's protection, and I walk on the ground without wings, but I don't regret this hardship. I want to live as a person. -Arina Tanemura

I do not fear Death. Life on the other hand, oh life, existing in a state of constant chaotic turmoil, living in bondage to fear and doubt, life I can't help but tremble with fear at.

Many common fears are learned. As a child you watch adults react to something that they have been conditioned to fear, and you in turn learn to fear it.
I feel sorry for people who fear death. I've never feared it, and at times have wanted and welcomed it.

Yeah most people seem to fear non existence. I don't. I need the rest. I fear not accomplishing my goals. I fear dying before I'm ready. Once I finish everything on my checklist I'll off myself.

I don't think people should live their lives chasing down arbitrary goals for this very reason. If your life isn't "full" without getting married, having kids, etc., then it won't be full after you do those things either. Live every day like it is your last and you will never feel as though you haven't accomplished anything. You will see beauty and richness in the mundane.
That will never hold up in court...
