Good lord, I have two kids older than you. 

I agree about 70s/80s music, but we can also allow that there are bright spots from all musical eras. This one, from 1946, is (for me) the most evocative, relatable love song ever written. Longing, angst, heartbreak, reconciliation - it’s all there and in due measure. Truly a remarkable piece of work.

I had heard that before...but I still hate you for posting it.  

Older people are not farts, but just like some of the young some older people are just plain farts.
The word "old" is used to insult the older farts: like in "dude your hair turned white/or lost altogether. and you still act like a fart"?

Older farts are worse because they give an excuse for younger farts to act that way.

Other than that, don't call yourself old fart just for age.

Eagles started out low, peaked in the late 70s than ditched in the mid 80s. But to be fair, if you get that famous as a band, of any type, a decade is doing great.
