Modern country sucks

Nashville makes garbage.  Give Hayes Carll, Jason Isbell, or Charlie Robison a try.

I'm a Nirvana fan so I can't relate to the op, Save Teen Spirit.

However, growing up my dad would listen to an oldies station (B-103)
Here is what I grew to hate;

Billy Joel: Please don't sing me another song piano man

Horse with no name; Which apparently had to be played 3 times every hour

Something about Christmas time (Danny Brian); I usually don't mind Christmas songs but this and one other drive me nuts

Christmas Shoes (any artist); Worst pandering song ever written

Bohemian Rhapsody; Which makes me mad because I do like the song it's just insanely overplayed

I'm sure I'll remember more
"For the only way to eternal glory is a life lived in service of our Lord, FSM; Verily it is FSM who is the perfect being the name higher than all names, king of all kings and will bestow upon us all, one day, The great reclaiming"  -The Prophet Boiardi-

      Conservative trigger warning.

So you can't make it through Johnny Cash's Five Feet High and Risin' or Glen Campbell's Wichita Lineman?

Just for that, I hope this sticks in your head:

I'm Enery the 8th I am.  Enery the 8th I am I am.

LOL. The Y-donor was named "Henry" and he was pretty much an 1/8th of a human.

Try again.

My dad would by the album each year.

When you think I've loved you all I can I'm gonna love you a little bit more.

When I was young, I never needed anyone.
And making love was just for fun.

All Irish country music, including that Liverpudlian Luder who sings the Wagon Wheel song, but especially Daniel O'Donnell.

Apart from that any manufactured band who are not The Monkees.

Songs by Scorpions, like I feel I should pity the generation of people who were young when "Winds Of Change" was released and they felt "connected" to it.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"
