And that Homosexuals were just totally accepted and there were no laws against being gay or anything or that fear of homosexuality was once used as legal defense or the cops or the government targeting gays for unfair treatment . I can name U.S laws that targeted black people, I want you to name U.S laws that specifically targeted Gay people.

The only way Turing's case was an outlier is that he actually got a posthumous pardon. Well, that and he happened to be famous.

True many other people were not so lucky . But Huggy believes gay people back in the day were totally allowed to be open and face no consequences as long as they were white . that's the alternate history he lives in .

Okay, it turns out there was a posthumous pardon of the 49,000 other men sentenced under Britain's anti-gay laws. This happened in 2017. And a couple people still weren't covered.

Well, here’s a big category of laws that did that. Note that while, in most cases, technically they applied to both heterosexual and homosexual sodomy (and also bestiality), in practice, gay people were extremely disproportionately targeted (and maybe bestiality, but at least they had the excuse of bestiality being inherently non consensual) . Gee, sounds a lot like the way systemic racism in laws that are selectively enforced in such a way that black people get targeted more than white still works to this day.

Given what he did to aid the war effort, he should have been knighted and nicely pensioned. What a complete travesty his treatment was.
