'burning down 7% of the country' is a gross exaggeration. Much of the actual violence to people, including in my own city, has resulted in the arrest of right-wing agitators like the Boogaloo Bois. I can think the looting and vandalism and proportionately rare actual violence that sometimes accompanies protests is ill-advised and counter-productive to the cause without thinking looters and vandals are representative of the movement or that Right-wing militias and agitators aren't much worse actors.
