You cannot honestly tell me that there is NOT MUSIC you grew up with and found out there were younger generations who liked, at least covers of what you grew up with
My project for today is to make some throw pillows for my oldest granddaughter out of 70s themed fabric.
Does she like the music...no, not right now. My kids do though because they heard it growing up. Pop culture tends to recycle. That's not news to most of us.
You're old. And your senses appear to be slipping.
Oh look, a list of songs that Pat Benatar covered. https://secondhandsongs.com/artist/2888/covers Imagine that!
Artists singing songs they like that were written and/or performed by someone else. Who knew? I thought they all came out singing their original works. Oh look over there - cover bands are a thing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cover_band Shock and awe.
Remember the thread about covers we liked better than the original?

All this thread was about, was that music transcends. FYI I think Pat Benatar did a far better version of "Helter Skelter" than the Beatles and a far better version of "I Need A Lover" by John Cougar. I love the fact that even today Pat Benatar is still part of history. |
