Intimidation and defamation. Last desperate act.

Intimidation and defamation. Last desperate act.
Trump is on tape trying to get a GOP election official to cheat, and implies threats of criminal action to him. On top of defaming election machine provider company Dominion of removing machines and or switching out machine parts.

I hope they both sue the fuck out of the asshole.

What will probably happen is that Trump’s allies in Congress will whine for a few hours, which is the only thing they’re constitutionally able to do, and the results will be certified by day’s end. Trump’s goons will take to the streets, in much smaller numbers than predicted, and there will be no wide scale violence because there never is.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Regardless of what congress does, Trump needs to be sued by all the people he has intimidated and smeared.

I'm not sure intimidation is a legally punishable offense.

Don't wait for Trump to be sued or tried for anything. He still has enough people in the right positions to protect him. And if that doesn't work, expect him leaving for a country without an extradition agreement.

Trump isn't going to spend a day in jail - one way or another it's not going to happen.

I wouldn't bet on jail, sure, but financially he is in deep trouble, and there are people after him for unpaid bills, and others who will sue him for defamation. He should be sued for incitement too. It most certainly can be proven in court that people act out in violence on his words.

He entered office owing money.  The man is an illusion of a successful business man.

Keep dreaming- he's not going to be convicted of anything.

At this stage of the game, does ANY of this really matter?

Trump can't be sued for incitement.  No one can. He could possibly be sued for damages arising from violence he incited, but that'd be an awfully difficult case to make.

Civil laws suits are not criminal charges. He's going to be sued in civil court at a minimum.
