More like patriotic immoral a holes, but less treasonous for sure, as they are rightfully preaching the law of the land.
Reversing the situation does not change the fact that what is basically an entertainment industry selling imaginary characters and preaching against common law.
They are traitors to the country.

Nonsense. Patriotism is an extremely situational notion. If your preaching agrees with the common law of your country, you can't possibly be a traitor to that country.
Boru Correct.
Religions are doing the opposite. They are traitors to their nations.

I'll try again. Is a Syrian mullah who advocates the stoning of an adulteress a traitor to his nation? Is a Saudi imam who supports the execution of homosexuals a traitor? If these two preached the opposite, THEN they would be traitors.
Try to be less provincial.

Edit: Actually, women and gays DO profit from some religions, at least to the extent they are not condemned for being female or gay, are in no way oppressed, and can become clergy.
I suppose that we could quibble over the definition of ‘profit’, but it’s clear they get as much out of their religion as their male and heterosexual fellow penitents.

Is that the rule. People with a specific sex organ, sexual preference, or gender orientation are not capable of and never have benefitted from their religions? Or that, if they have... they're hypocrites?

Yep. Nothing quite like the profit of being discriminated against without a justr cause.

You did not deal with the fact that they do the opposite of what you stated, which you deflected from.

So much for their moral sense.

So, you’re claiming that there are NO religions in which women and gays are welcomed and accorded the same level of respect and acceptance as anyone else?
ALL rules ‘change as required’. This is the nature of rules.

I wonder how you got that.
I made no such claim, as it would not be true.
My own Gnostic Christianity, for example, is a universalist creed that does not discriminate without a just cause against anyone.

I got it from a blanket statement you made, to wit:

Religious rules change as required. If religious rules started out sucking, but can change as required, would that be a good thing or a bad thing?

As above, if a person has a moral rule - but they find that the facts of their moral rule were in error - wouldn't you want them to change it, and be able to change it?
There's a version of christianity out there, right now, where rawdogging a bi pornstar is tantamount to sacrament.

Natures rules never change.
Of course religions have given women their due now and again, when the good of the many out weighed the good of the few immoral men who would denigrate all souls by indicating that god made some of them second class.
Tie equality to righteousness and you will see straight.
If your god is not a universalist, it is defective. A good god would not need a hell. That imaginary character would cure, not kill.
Right?
