So a $600 gun costs $12,000. What do you care - you are not denying anyone their rights..... Um, where exactly are you getting the number that vetting a prospective gun buyer properly would cost $12,000 (or maybe $11,400) a pop? Are you dividing the cost it would create a database sufficient for a background check by the number of prospective buyers (and apparently assuming it wouldn’t be paid for by taxes if your wording is any indication)? I’m legitimately confused as to how you got that number. It' s above your pay grade.
Don' t worry about it....

1. Humans' behavior is not impossible to predict and even if it was that's not an argument against checks.
2. Protected classes are an equal application of the law in fact it would be more unequal if they didn't exist.

I cannot predict what a firearm buyer will do, BUT THAT IS NOT THE FUCKING POINT!
You are using this bullshit argument to avoid facing our firearm violence problem.
Show my YOUR crystal ball that predicts that everyone who legally buys a firearm won't go on to get violent.
Your "crystal ball" is falsely assuming a legal buy will prevent the buyer from getting violent after the legal buy.
Yesterday's nut who murdered 8 people had no detectable record preventing him from LEGALLY buying the firearms he used just hours before his killing spree.
And again, none of what I am arguing is calling for a 100% ban on all firearms.
I am saying that our vetting process SUCKS.
James Huberty in 1984 managed to legally buy firearms and walk into a McDonalds in California and murder 21 people. And despite the fact he sought mental health prior to committing that mass murder, the laws at that time didn't prevent him from owning the firearm he committed the mass murder with. Nothing could have stopped yesterday's sicko either. But that is my point. You falsely accuse me of defaulting to presumption of guilt, which is not what I am arguing.
Stop using the "crystal ball" bullshit. This isn't about denial of rights, or assuming guilt. It is a matter of public safety. Just like taking a pilots test, isn't assuming you will crash the plane.
And I will say it again. Having read your responses over the years on this issue, I damned sure know if you owned a gun shop, you would NOT sell me a firearm. But, your fucked up logic ignores that I could go to another shop and legally buy one right now.
Do you have a "crystal ball" that would predict me using a firearm to commit a killing spree? No you do not. But I also know you'd be lying your ass off if you'd claim you'd be willing to sell me a firearm.
Saying firearms are too easy to obtain, is not a call for a 100% ban. Stupid twat.
I don' t make any claims of anyone' s future actions.

And no I would not sell you a firearm. I' m sure you' re as annoying in R/L as you are online... I' d toss you out of the shop just for that.....

Possibly incidental victims.
His social media shows that he clearly blamed Asians for 500,000 Covid deaths.

Fun fact, while trying and failing to find out where Biker pulled his $12,000 price tag for proper vetting, I found this: according to the Vice Chair of the Joint Economic Committee, it turns out that gun violence in America costs the nation $229 billion per year, and if the Brady United stats on how many people are shot (fatally or nonfatally, accidentally or intentionally, by oneself or others) every day are accurate, this adds up to a bit less than $2 million per person.

Fun fact - you can trust the Brady Bunch as much with gun numbers as the RJ Reynolds with cigarette info.....
And yes - I pulled the number out of my ass AS IT IS IRRELEVANT EXCEPT TO POINT OUT THERE IS A COST - which will be extreme and thrust on the gun buyer.....
But you don' t really give a fuck - you just want to obfuscate your true intent... Pricing guns out of existance.....

What makes you think that A) the plan is to price guns out of existence, or B) that the amount of vetting to make sure someone who doesn't have mental issues or a criminal record will do so?
Also, if the Brady numbers are overinflated, then this only means the cost per person is higher. Another study calculates about 99,000 people shot per year (by all measures), and this would make up over $2.3 million per person.
