Pronoun Backlash

RE: Pronoun Backlash
I'm not really clear what the problem is. Like, maybe she doesn't care what pronouns people use when talking to/about her.

I, for instance, don't care what pronouns people use when referring to me. You could use he/she/it... anything. Nothing bothers me. Everything fits in some respect. "male" and "female" are too narrow of terms to describe anyone ultimately.

If someone lists their pronouns, I see it as a courtesy to use whatever pronouns they list.

But I don't feel duty-bound to list my own preferred pronouns in my profile (because I don't care). Plenty of my gay friends used "she" when referring to me (they did that with everybody) and it didn't bug me one bit. It was totally fine. I just rolled with it.

Maybe this actress person feels the same way (shrug).

Is there something I'm not getting?

Just found out that niece's half sister is pregnant and is trying to figure out some more things with regard to being binary and/or non, etc.

I am figuring a gender reveal won't be planned. And if one is, I will be even more confused.

Actually, it doesn't expose anything. It was racist. He acknowledged it was wrong and apologized. Sorry, no hypocrisy here.

Quote: The same goes for Sarah Paulson. I don't care what happens to her after she went on video and shamed me for not taking responsibility for people being slaughtered in the streets, and pushed propaganda lying about people being shot for taking a jog (he wasn't jogging, he was running away because he got caught, and was shot because he tried to take the gun. Nothing to do with jogging.) It was not a justified shooting, which means there's even less reason to make things up like this when you already have the facts on your side. When you make things up like "he was just jogging", your opponents can see you are not arguing in good faith and they won't take anything else you say seriously. No hard feelings though when it comes to Paulson. I'm still going to enjoy her on AHS, but I won't stand up for her as a person.
And a bunch of bullshit

Ahmaud Marquez Arbery was jogging. He stopped at a house under construction looked around a bit (something tons of white people had done and nobody gave a damn about it ) and was going to keep jogging till the McMichaels and William "Roddie" Bryan spotted him and tried running him down and then tried to kill him and in desperation, he rushed for the gun and was shot. So nice warping the facts to make Ahmaud seems more responsible for his death than he was.

And the way gender reveals have been going in the past couple years, that's probably a good thing. If it turned out that it was a gender reveal party gone horribly wrong that ended up causing the apocalypse, I wouldn't be too surprised.

According to the hidden part of the article, it's meant to make preferred pronouns more visible and the hope is that if enough cisgender people take part in it, just stating a person's preferred pronouns would become normal. That said, many people are fine with identifying as their birth gender, and, for many of them, it's easy to guess what their preferred pronoun is. For instance, if you looked at me and my beard, it's easy to assume that I'd prefer to be addressed as he, and you'd be right. And in cases like this, it's not hard to imagine people asking:

Is "becoming normal" really a goal anyone should be striving for? I've known quite a lot of people who lived in that blurry place between genders, and lemmie tell ya, many of them found it exhilarating to be freaks who lived their lives outside the boundaries of normalcy.

I get that some people want to enjoy the status of "normal person" that many cis people enjoy. And "normal" goes a long way with society in general accepting who you are and allowing a person to participate in said "normal society" and in many ways opens the door for someone to advance in a society because the society at large deems them "normal." Normalizing expressions of gender fluidity could help people who are denied opportunity and participation in society to become successful within that society, and also help them feel like they are not "some weirdo" because such-and-such actresses that they look up to (like the actress person being discussed) expresses what pronouns she prefers. And this makes it feel more "normal" for anyone else to do the same. And that's good. People shouldn't feel shame in expressing their views about what their own gender actually is.

But at the same time, nobody should be obligated or coerced into "normalizing" this or that expression of genderhood. "Normalization" is a damaging, and underrated affair. It suffocates the imagination of those many, many individuals who would prefer to remain freaks. Those real people who live in that "blurry in between" of genders who, rather than wanting to participate in a society through some forced normalcy ritual, would rather rebel against it, and bring the bricks of its walls cascading down upon the heads of the ignorant and confused conformists who will never accept them.

This is too damn good. Think longer and harder next time Sungula, before you accept whatever bunk propaganda is presented to you. I accept your apology in advance.

According to excerpts from the documents, shared by Andy Ngo on Twitter, in August 2018, Arbery was allegedly caught by a woman who saw him in her backyard looking into the windows of her cars and was given a trespass warning by Burke County police officers.

"When confronted by the officers about the eye-witness reports, he lied and said he had 'gone running in the street,' and then became aggressive, confrontational, and repeatedly threatened that he would 'whip the officer's a*s' if they didn't leave him alone," the report continued.

In another alleged incident that took place in October 2018 and captured on a Burke County police officer's body cam, Arbery and two other juveniles were found in a vacant mobile home and when confronted by authorities he said he was just out jogging.

Arbery was Nicknamed 'The Jogger'

Other eye-witness accounts and video evidence details Arbery and his repeated behavior of pretending to be out running and then committing crimes, which apparently also earned him the nickname "The Jogger" by members of his community.
"In 2019 and 2020, local convenience store witness interviews reveal Mr. Arbery became known as 'The Jogger' for his repeated conduct and behavior of running up, stretching in front, and then entering several convenience stores where he would grab items and run out before he got caught," the excerpt read.

1. Lol. This is too good. Maybe don't use the international business times a tabloid is known for shoddy journalism and outright lies and  Andy Ngo a proven liar as a source if you going to accuse someone of not thinking or falling for propaganda. I accept your apology in advance. Hehe Hehe

2. Even if this were true it has no bearing at all to the day he was murdered. There no evidence he did anything on that property that at least a dozen other people had done before him, And none of them were murdered for it.

So nice try nutter   Hilarious Hilarious

A person got hit by a car. They died.

It makes perfect sense in English, which is not necessarily to its credit.

When speaking of the normalization of hitherto novel x's, there are no confused conformists who will never accept them to bring bricks down on the heads of, in the first place.  People can still enjoy whatever fantasy of danger and abnormality tickles them, as we lowly normies all already do, ofc.
