If people were 100% rational, would the world be better?
RE: If people were 100% rational, would the world be better?
Ask him for some word comprehension next time you talk.
I am the Infantry. I am my country’s strength in war, her deterrent in peace. I am the heart of the fight… wherever, whenever. I carry America’s faith and honor against her enemies. I am the Queen of Battle. I am what my country expects me to be, the best trained Soldier in the world. In the race for victory, I am swift, determined, and courageous, armed with a fierce will to win. Never will I fail my country’s trust. Always I fight on…through the foe, to the objective, to triumph overall. If necessary, I will fight to my death. By my steadfast courage, I have won more than 200 years of freedom. I yield not to weakness, to hunger, to cowardice, to fatigue, to superior odds, For I am mentally tough, physically strong, and morally straight. I forsake not, my country, my mission, my comrades, my sacred duty. I am relentless. I am always there, now and forever. I AM THE INFANTRY! FOLLOW ME!

Something is amiss. How do you reconcile these two statements?

Oh, IDK, if the sheep have misgivings about the shepherd, that may just be the sheep seeing things clearly. He does plan to eat and/or wear them, after all. Wink

I must make something clear.......I am "bipolar", as in, I have "bipolar disorder", or at least, that's what the psychiatrist told me. I change my mind about things a lot. But honestly, I feel like the latter statement (above) is closer to what I truly believe.

Well, at least you know yourself - and you're willing to let others know you. Streamlines so much. I can put you in the bin with dicks who think some silly god picked them out for special shit over all the other lowly human worms. You're a completely predictable quantity, now.

I know if our plane goes down in the andies I'd have to immediately hit you over the head with a rock, or you'd eat all the survivors.
I know that you can never be left in a position of responsibility for any other living thing.
I know that no plan which depends on you could be credibly expected to succeeed.

-just a sampling.

Jesus is depicted as an apocalyptic pious Jew. His message is not "God is Love". His message is to reconcile with God, and forget about the needs of the world, because the end-times are near.

So, no I don't care for Jesus' message either.

Okay......? No need to be so harsh. And so what if I think God favors me over other people? I have every reason to believe that. I have experienced many good things, that a lot of other people have never experienced. Is this not proof of God's favor? If God cared about those less fortunate than me, as much as He cares about me, then those "less fortunate" people, would not be less fortunate.

Every need to be so harsh. People should know themselves and people should recognize others for who they are.

I can't see that you have any reason to believe that silly shit - but I expect you to act on it, simply because you say that's who you are, and I believe you. Every time you use the word god, up above, I'm pretty sure you're talking about yourself. Maybe, if you cared more about less fortunate people, they wouldn't be less fortunate, but you don't. You care about you, and you even care about you to their detriment.

You're worthless, and that's okay. Some people are just broken, right?

Nah, I'm not worthless. Not even close. You can keep that to yourself.

Yeah, this is either narcissism or some equivalent of the American Prosperity Gospel.

I'm an atheist, and I have a great life.  Does God love me more than some pious refugee?  Does God love me more than those slaughtered by maniacs?

That's some deity you believe in.  Perhaps you could explain what you believe God is, and what you believe God does (and why).
