Why? If gods exist, why couldn't they be evil? Sure, we might feel a particular way about that - but does that have anything to do with whether or not the god exists and is evil? We're told from time to time by the faithful that perhaps we should reconsider belief on account of how their superfriend will do Bad Things to us, if we don't.
As it so happens, I think gods are evil -and- imaginary.

If that were true, you wouldn't be capable of stating with certainty that your god is in any way good.

Whatever ideology makes another person happy is equally as good and for the same reason, one would assume?

Then it would seem that, like your comments about atheists not being able to believe in transcendental values, your comments about the inability of others to derive equivalent value or happiness outside of a belief in gods is likewise not accurate.
