You know what Steve Bannon reminds me of? There was this movie called C Me Dance that was basically about a Christian girl with the power to assimilate other people like the Borg, and her dad (played by the director) had these really weird incest vibes with his daughter to the point where I was legit surprised to find out he was supposed to be her dad and not the pedo who was dating her the first time I watched it.

Pop-Tart Lawsuit

Quote:A $5m class-action lawsuit has accused Kellogg's of misleading customers about the fruit content of their frosted strawberry Pop-Tarts, claiming they contain few actual strawberries.

OMG - Anyone who has ever eaten one knows that real fruit is lacking in them. Holy crap.

I saw that and it made me laugh.  Does the box actually say they contain some percentage of strawberries?  I suppose they are just looking to make some money but its likely this will get thrown out.

I suppose they could also be sued because the packet says they’re topped with ‘rainbow sprinkles’ which do not contain any actual rainbows.

They aggressively market the product as being strawberry, and dye the product to fit with that representation - strawberries being higher value than apples and pears..which is what they're made out of. Other manufacturers do the same, and prominently mark their products to reflect that reality - made with natural and artificial sweeteners. The overall effect (it's contended) is that consumers are being defrauded in a fairly blatant way - and other producers are losing business to that product explicitly because of their deceptive practices.

It’s Pop-Tarts, mate. No producers are losing business because of misnamed fruit filling - people who want actual strawberries will purchase them. No one seriously believes that Kellogg’s are a fruit vendor. People don’t buy toaster pastries for the authentic strawberry goodness any more than they buy a McBurger for that real grilled steak experience.

Pop-Tarts are junk food and everybody knows it. Caveat emptor.

Ya know what's worse? When placing an online order I forgot to check the no substitutions box. We ended up with a box of store brand poptartthingies.

Husband started to eat one and we threw the whole box in the trash.

When the Pop-Tarts brand is a superior product you know the other stuff is bad.
