Kyle Rittenhouse Trial

How is it common sense that killing unarmed people is justified self-defense? No wonder you changed the subject after that.
teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Especially when you joined a group of armed militiamen and went to a town you had no business being anywhere near and then waded through a group of agitated protesters with a gun almost as if you looking for trouble then when you find it you act like a victim. Play stupid games win stupid prizes. The idea this is like some poor women going down an alleyway is so absurd it's facepalming. And the idea that the guy who was murdered was acting he was the law when Shittenhouse was literally a freaking vigilante is freaking surreal.

Going after your gun is as good as having a gun. At that point, you have to assume it's kill or be killed. You have a legal right to defend yourself and neutralize the threat, which is why Kyle was found not guilty. Quit with the buzzwords like "unarmed". If you're going for someone's gun, you're a second away from being armed and you know it. Quit it.

I care less than zero that they were "unarmed". A meaningless buzzword and nothing more when not put into proper context.

What should Kyle have assumed the men's intentions were? To give him a hug or to shake his hand?

Actually, it is meaningful and the context is irrelevant he was unarmed, and it's yet another reason Shittenhouse is murdering asshole.

Kyles knowledge of his intentions or lack of is irrelevant he was the unarmed end of story

Well if someone owns a gun he should behave responsibly, and Kyle didn't. If I take a gun to theatre and start waving with it as well as running I can't just assume that that won't provoke people - especially with all the mass shootings.
