bold mine...You have one of the biggest persecution complexes known to man.  Did it ever occur to you that the movies with gay black men were better than recent movies starring black men that aren't, or aren't portraying gay men?  No, no...that can't be it...it's a conspiracy.

Big Gay is coming to get him!

I doubt Big Gay wants him.

There's Billy Porter, a talentless hack, who's only claim to fame is being a black man that wears dressees on the red carpet (do a Google image search of him). It was interesting to see Billy get butthurt at Harry Styles for wearing a dress because he knows he has zero talent.

Awww…you poor persecuted straight black man. The black gays encroaching on your territory, are they? Are they gonna take away all your straight, black rights?

You can stop embarrassing yourself at any time, ya know.
So straight black people are only represented if they win an oscar and only within the last 20 years and only if we leave out one kind of movie? And the gay actor who won the oscars talent is to be determined by one person's subjective opinion. Seems like a weird metric And an arbitrary one at that.

You going to continue to play dumb? I said at the beginning my problem wasn't with LBGT, it was with white supremacy...

Gay Black people don't control the Oscars so why do you think I'm talking about them?

I should add, a movie about a Venus and Serena Williams father, who is a straight black man and strong father, has all the white feminists and LBGT big mad, can't have movies portraying positive straight black men, now can we...

It's been a while since I've seen any of these films except Soul and Get Out, and I don't think any of the main characters or their actors are gay, but they're starring black men, they won Oscars, and they were made in the last 20 years:
  • Training Day
  • Ray
  • Last King of Scotland
  • Judas and the Black Messiah
  • Fences
  • If Beale Street Could Talk
  • Black Panther
  • Soul
  • BlacKKKlansman
  • Hustle and Flow
  • Selma
  • Get Out
  • The Blind Side (A bit embarrassing of a pick, I guess, but the protagonist is a straight black man, and it did win an Oscar, even if it was just for Sandra Bullock.)
Oh, look, all I needed to do was look up List of Black Academy Award Winners and Nominees and I found THIRTEEN fitting your criteria. And four of them, black actors won for their performances. And I omitted documentaries and shorts from the list.

No no none of those fit a hyper-specific and extremely arbitrary criteria so they can just be ignored  Dodgy

Dude, your exact words were, and I quote:

While your preamble did mention that two movies with black gay men were the only two movies in the past five years to win Best Picture, you generalised your challenge to any movie that A) starred straight black men, B) won an Oscar in the past 20 years (no mention of any categories this time), and C) wasn't about slavery.

And, ironically, Trevante Rhodes and Mahershala Ali, the two men who starred in the two Best Picture winners, are actually straight when off-camera (at least as far as I can tell).

With emphasis on MOVIES staring straight black men that have won an Oscar, not talking about individual actors.

And I gave you a list of 13, and you decided you were talking about Best Picture winners only.

Are the only shows he watches Kimmy Schmidt, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Orange is the New Black, and Pose? I get the impression the only way he can get an idea like that are if his media tastes skew strongly towards gay media. And if he’s that homophobic, and his tastes evidently skew that far towards gay stuff that he thinks black people are more likely to be LGBTQ than straight in media (it’s one thing if they’re more common in media than in real life, but this is just strangely wrong), the whole Armored Closet Gay stuff really starts to make sense.

Edit: It took a while, but I found it in Post 1064, with him asking "Would you say that there's more black lbgt representation than straight black representation?"
