It's an interesting thing he has going, constantly looking for things outside of magic book to prove his religious beliefs. Guess the quran just isn't good enough.

Winter is so stupid and blinded by religious zeal and confirmation bias that he does not know/ignores the difference between a black hole and the event horizon of a black hole.
But i am sure he will come up with a rationalisation for this too.
