*sigh* ONE Byzantine empress has the eyes gouged out of ONE son, and you act like it's a big fucking deal.

Quote:In the Byzantine Empire and many other historical societies, blinding was accomplished by gouging out the eyes, sometimes using a hot poker, and by pouring a boiling substance, such as vinegar, on them.[2]

Societies like this one here.
Or this one
Probably this one as well
This here is particulartly interesting, since a man was already blinded in one eye, and now is facing to be blinded for the second time.

But hey, who cares, its only 21th century muslim countries who are blinding people. Thats not really blinding like the Byzantines did some 1000 years ago. I mean its completely different, isnt it? I mean, first of all its heathens doing it, can you imagine, bloody heathens!!!!!
Who cares if some crazy ass muslims are blinding someone, they are, after all, believers!!!! (in the correct god, of course, otherwise they would be terrible people, blinding others, terrible!!).
We already know, since Einstein, that there is relativity, even in morals. Something is not necessarily terrible and inhumane. If muslims do it, its according to the will and laws of god (or something). Thats completely different than some bloody christian heathen (or god forbid: an atheist) doing the same.

You said it was "just one" who got blinded; on the contrary in reality it was a common and a standard punishment by the Christian heathens.
Thousands -if not Millions- suffered the same fate at the hands of the Christian heathens.

I said it was ONE Byzantine empress who blinded ONE son. If you have any information on all the other Byzantine empresses who blinded their sons, I’d be happy to consider it.

Also, would you happened to have the figures on Muslims maimed for theft?

Also also: I’d like you to address Deese23’s remarks on punitive blinding carried out by Muslims on other Muslims.

Of course heathens are sort of the opposite of Christians...another example of your babble.

You still haven't answered my question either.

WinterHold, please confront the endemic problem of legalistic maiming of criminals in Islamic societies in the present day.

What was your question? Maybe I can answer it better than Winter can.

I have asked repeatedly what the punishment would be if they found out he frequents an atheist forum on the regular. And, if that punishment would be fair.

He chooses not to answer.

I would have to say the punishment would be fairly severe, maybe not extremely severe, but still severe.
