Justin Green - comic book artist. Best known for his 1972 autobiographical comic "Binky Brown Meets the Holy Virgin Mary" in which he chronicles how Catholicism tormented him as a child and how he ultimately rejected it.

I have that comic book in my private library. Having grew up Catholic, I identified with a lot of the torments Brown experienced at the hands of the nuns and Church.

Hermann Nitsch, one of the most hardcore artists to walk the earth, died over a week ago. For a taste, here’s him working on one of his paintings.
And I was careful to not include any of his performance art, because that sort of shit you Google at your own peril. Frankly, it straddles the line between artistic genius and serial killer levels of crazy; any of those pieces probably has as much gore as the entire Saw series.
And, for the record, he also composed the music in the video.
