BREAKING: Star Wars hotel flopped

Quote:Disney is trying to figure out why the incredibly expensive hotel flopped, and the company is spending even more money to try and find out why.

According to Disneyland News, the company is looking to understand why their first fully immersive hotel experience was so bad that no one wanted to book a stay. Now, some guests who had previously stayed at Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser and completed a survey after their stay are being asked to join a paid focus group so Disney can learn more about their experiences.

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

Perhaps it is because Disney has destroyed the franchise, though I can't say it was very healthy before they got the rights.

Star Wars is a fantasy story for 10-year-olds.  Star Trek is a world that adult geeks wish they could live in.  People go on Start Trek cruises (literally by the boatload).  Star Wars is just bad -- and I loved the first movie and many of the subsequent books (which are no longer canon).

Plus, Disney hotels are usually incredibly expensive, even without the immersive experience.

Disney, you wear me the fuck out.

Scale it back, tone it down, and leave a long, quiet moment here and there.

After Snow White compared my daughter's glasses to Doc's, sending Jasmine over was a good move.  It didn't help my daughter any, but it distracted me from making the princess breakfast worse.  I'll give you that one.

Justin Beiber has announced he's going to stop touring because he has a medical condition that can leave one side of his face paralysed.

In other news, Beccs is starting to suspect there may actually be a god.

He's still a prick, but has his moments.

Elephant Kills Woman Then Returns to Funeral and Tramples Corpse

The 70-year-old woman, Maya Murmu, was attacked by the wild elephant as she walked to collect water in Odisha's Mayurbhanj district, Indian news outlet The Print reported.

Later, as family members gathered to perform a funeral for Murmu, the wild tusker appeared once again.

It approached the pyre and grabbed the body, The Print reported. The elephant then trampled on her body again, and threw it away before fleeing.
