Well in the article I linked two medical experts have claimed otherwise. They make no such distinction.

I'm surprised! Please feel free to post a link to that article, if you wish to do so.

“No matter what men think, abortion is a fact of life. Women have always had them; they always have and they always will. Are they going to have good ones or bad ones? Will the good ones be reserved for the rich, while the poor women go to quacks?”

At 23 pages, I lost track, but, I will look.

P.S. This was your first post (page 6):

"In reality, Republicans have played themselves as Anti Abortion laws never worked before and they won't work now."

My more general point (as the article also points out) is that no were does the law state age as a medical condition worthy to grant an abortion and if it did then what about all the health risks older women face or black women face or short women face. It doesn't define risk narrowly enough. A person could argue the mere fact a ten-year-old could carry to term and still be healthy as an excuse to deny an abortion. It really is a poorly written law.

Who created a notion that Catholics are the "normal ones" when it comes to Christians and that they are not fanatics like evangelicals?

Quote:The largest association of Catholic individuals in health care is condemning the Biden administration for ordering health care providers to perform abortions in emergency situations under federal law.

Quote:What about abortion for 10-year-old rape victims?

Catholics should embrace life — not the destruction of it — even in the most difficult situations, Father Tadeusz Pacholczyk, the director of education and staff ethicist at the National Catholic Bioethics Center, told CNA.

“What a young [10 year-old] woman needs in such a situation is the support of family and friends, along with the reassurance that ‘we can get through this together,’” he said. “What she really needs is the love, hope and compassion that buoys up anyone facing uncertainty about her own future.”

teachings of the Bible are so muddled and self-contradictory that it was possible for Christians to happily burn heretics alive for five long centuries. It was even possible for the most venerated patriarchs of the Church, like St. Augustine and St. Thomas Aquinas, to conclude that heretics should be tortured (Augustine) or killed outright (Aquinas). Martin Luther and John Calvin advocated the wholesale murder of heretics, apostates, Jews, and witches. - Sam Harris, "Letter To A Christian Nation"

The catholics are The fanatics who handed the evangelicals their Catholic Issue in pursuit of political power so that they could eventually seat clerics at the highest government positions in the us.

The U.S. Catholic church bishops are conservative radicals. However, Catholic people in general are used to ignoring the Church's bullshit. It is the Evangelicals who are latching onto the abortion bans, not the average Catholic person.

Sure, nominal catholicism. Similar to nominal protestants. Extendable to nominal christianity in total. I don't think that many people are worried about folks who identify as x, while ignoring the bullshit of x. It wasn't any organic latching onto, though - it was a deliberate political relationship in living memory designed to stop the erosion of religious authority in the us government through the decreasing faith and increasing secularization of it's people, including those who would identify as religious.

Actually the congregation is getting more and more far right, mainly because the reasonable people are leaving, letting the fanatics become the new majority.

Happens a lot with dying cults.

Before I read what you were replying to, I thought you were talking about the Republican party.
