China's Economy is slowing and this isn't a surprise as it's economy was always built on sand.

Also, Bel The Kremlin Gremlin mentioned French protests earlier

Quote:More than 41,000 people across France have protested against the Russian invasion of Ukraine this weekend, including 16,000 in Paris. Banners read “Save Ukraine” and “Killer Putin”.

Sadly many leftists in the west have come down with WDS (western derangement syndrome) where the west is automatically a gang of super-villains and despotic regimes like Putin's Russia are given undue charity on their motivations or justifications. Dodgy

Russian MP calls for Putin to 'stop lying' to the Russian public over Ukraine war
Unilad

Quote:A Russian politician and former army officer has called on top officials in the government to 'stop lying' to the public over their invasion of Ukraine.

Vladimir Putin's invasion of Ukraine is not going well at all and now his own politicians are admitting on state TV that Russia is trying to cover up serious problems with how it's going.

Russian MP and former army officer Andrey Kartapolov told propagandist Vladimir Solovyov live on TV that 'the lying has to stop' as telling the public the war is going one way and them discovering it's untrue is dangerous.

I'm glad that people are calling out government lies.

I remember back in the run-up to America's invasion of Iraq, the government and the corporate media were lying about as much as it's possible to lie. It was pretty amazing.

One foreign correspondent for the New York Times who had been reporting from the Middle East for years stood up and called on the top officials in the government to stop lying. He was fired immediately, of course. He was literally booed off stage where he had been invited to speak. In the end everything he said turned out to be true.

It's interesting to hear what this same correspondent, Chris Hedges, says about the current war.

Anyway, it's no surprise to hear that the government in Russia is lying. And we know from experience that the US government lies just as much. So we should be careful who we believe.

American news has nothing on Russian state media on its willingness to lie

In Russia calling out the government, they flipping kill you for criticizing the government

Yup, only this time they are telling the truth so trotting out Iraqi as a way to defend Russia is absurd.

No, it freaking doesn't lie as much that the two media aren't comparable. Holy false equivalency batman. One is a government propaganda network that will kill you if you don't tow the party line and doesn't even attempt to be anything else. The modern US has nothing even close to that.

This is ADS (American Drangment syndrome) plain and simple.
